Clermont-Ferrand to host Iran’s short ‘The Visit’

Iran’s ‘The Visit’ is to attend the Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Festival in France.

Iran’s short ‘The Visit’ has made it to the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘The Visit’ will represent Iran at the 42nd edition of the French event.

The film is directed by Azadeh Mousavi.

“A young girl and her mother on their way to visiting the father in jail,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the biggest international film festival dedicated to short films.

It is held annually in the city of Clermont-Ferrand and is the second largest film festival in France after Cannes, in terms of audience and professional attendance, boasting more than 160,000 attendees and 3,500 professionals annually.

The 42nd edition of the festival will begin on January 31 and is set to run until February 8, 2020.
